Matilda presents re-imagined versions of three previous compositions, plus one new song with her new EP ‘Our Own World’ coming early in July via Tiny House Label. Conceived with friend, fellow RBMA alumnus and veteran Lebanese Electronica musician/producer Etyen, the EP actualises a musical friendship and connection that started when the pair met back in 2016. Matilda’s lyrical prowess, compositional technique and heavily layered melodic arrangements find a sound world all of their own in Etyen’s productions. The result is a masterful mix of vocal pop and forward thinking Electronica that undulates between ethereal, organic and at times playful or epic soundscapes, skillfully infused with dreamy melodic and harmonic arrangements of otherworldly quality.
